Hamilton City Council will spend $18.5m renewing and upgrading its stormwater, wastewater and water reticulation network over the next three years.
The Finance Committee today (23 July) awarded a contract to renew and upgrade its existing three waters reticulation network assets at various locations around the city.
The work will be done on assets which are “no longer providing the intended level of service.”
Stormwater outfalls, pipes and open channels will be renewed and upgraded by the contractor, HEB Construction, along with wastewater reticulation network pipes, rising mains and pump stations.
The budget for the maintenance work is part of the Council’s10-Year Plan.
